First of all, look at this HowTo, it applies to Ubuntu 7.10.

The iTunes 7.2 (but not 7.4 / 7.41) app installed correctly using wine, however, I was not able to create an account with it. Also, the app reacted quite sloppily.

Therefore I think that it’s a better idea to use VirtualBox for using iTunes under Linux.
